‘Grand Theft Auto 6’ could be out by March 2024 according to analysts

Take-new Two's financial forecast prompted such predictions, which were picked up by Axios and VGC. Take-recent Two's acquisition of Zynga resulted in the company forecasting big gains. It forecasted a 14 percent compound annual growth rate from now through 2024.

According to industry analysts, that figure corresponds to $9 billion in consumer expenditure, which some experts feel can only mean one thing: Grand Theft Auto 6.

Because of that figure, a Jefferies analyst speculated that "just a handful of titles" could yield such results. "We expect at least one Rockstar IP will be released by FY24," the analyst noted.

Despite this, Cowen's Doug Cruetz said that the release date for Grand Theft Auto 5 had previously been hinted at via financial targets, with the game's subsequent delay leading the company's expectations to be lowered.

"There is clearly precedent for putting a Rockstar game into #s before it's officially dated (and then getting it wrong)," Cruetz told Axios. As a result, it's far from certain right now.

Tom Henderson, an industry insider, compiled all of the information he had been given on the game last year.

He did, however, say in a video that the original release date of 2023 to 2024 that he tweeted out in the past was "a little bit premature." However, this recent theory may have increased the likelihood.

For the time being, Grand Theft Auto fans will have to make do with plans for a Grand Theft Auto 5 remaster. In March, the game will be available for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

In other news, the CEO of PlatinumGames, the creators of Bayonetta 3, has changed. Kenichi Sato has stepped down, and Atsushi Inaba, the studio's head and vice-president, has taken over.
