On Tuesday, the 14th, four new playlists will be released.
On Tuesday, December 14th, 2021, 343 Industries will release four new playlists for Halo Infinite. "Slayer, Fiesta, FFA, and Tactical Slayer (SWAT) playlists will all be available via a services update," according to a member of the 343 Industries media team.
It's evident that it's in response to player pleas for a means to play Halo's most basic and famous mode. Slayer for Infinite was delayed owing to larger ambitions for the playlist with new variants, according to 343 last week. "To address player input for Slayer in the near term, we'll be releasing a basic Slayer option to begin with and will try to enhance and expand with more varieties in a future update," 343 staffer ske7ch stated on Reddit.
After the team takes a winter break, a more sophisticated Slayer playlist will be released. On the 14th, there will be changes to challenges, including the removal of some "particularly annoying mode-specific ones" and the addition of fresh new tasks for the new playlists. There will also be a challenge category where players can accumulate points.
In the time between the multiplayer beta and the release of Halo Infinite's singleplayer, the Halo Infinite community has "gone feral," as our Natalie Clayton put it. The subreddit became so hostile last weekend that moderators had to shut it down as gamers fought over challenges, gameplay, and which game modes were available at any one time.
