Roblox has announced a new arrangement with Sony Music Entertainment under which the platform will showcase innovative music experiences for its users.

The arrangement, which was revealed on Roblox's website yesterday, would provide Sony artists with "commercial opportunities to reach new audiences."

Several Sony musicians, including Lil Nas X and Zara Larsson, have already collaborated with the site. Both musicians played for gamers and fans in the virtual gaming environment, shattering records for the number of visitors.

Roblox has received some backlash from the music business, with several publishers accusing the company of enabling players to upload artists' songs to the game. Last month, the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) launched a $200 million lawsuit against Roblox's creators.
